In the early 2000s, Michele and Pietro Ferrero Hospital participated in the season of public competitions focused on building new hospitals with revolutionary design. The patient has to be placed at the centre, suggested Umberto Veronesi, Minister of Health at the time, and the famous architect and senator Renzo Piano: humanisation, urbanity, sociality, organisation, interactivity, appropriateness, reliability, innovation, research and training.

We created an operating block of 12 operating theatres, including one robotic and one hybrid, which is one of the largest in Italy to date. All operating theatres were constructed using our innovative modular system SINTESY. The walls were clad with antibacterial coated steel panels, ideal for the healthcare environments in terms of quality, durability and ease of cleaning.
